Story Submission Guidelines

Thank you for being part of Voices That Change the World.

We’re honoured to receive your story and are committed to treating it — and you — with respect.

To help us maintain a safe, authentic, and empowering space, please follow these simple guidelines before submitting.

Length & Format

  • Written stories: Between 400 and 1200 words — a length that keeps your message focused, heartfelt, and engaging.

  • Video submissions: Up to 3 minutes.

  • Audio stories: Up to 5 minutes (MP3 format or link to hosted audio).

  • Short bio: Please include a short author bio of less than 100 words.

If your story runs longer, consider submitting an excerpt or summary — our team may contact you to discuss a full feature

Who Can Contribute

We welcome stories from people whose voices are creating positive change in the world. You might identify as:

  • Survivors — sharing healing, resilience, and lived experience.

  • Creators — using art, words, or media to express truth and connection.

  • Entrepreneurs — building purpose-driven businesses or initiatives that inspire others.

If your story helps others see possibility, healing, or hope — we want to hear from you.

Language & Tone

✔ Write in your authentic voice — conversational, reflective, and true to your lived experience.
✔ Avoid coarse, explicit, or aggressive language, even if describing painful experiences. We aim to keep this space safe and accessible for everyone.
✔ If strong language is essential for accuracy or emotional truth, please use it thoughtfully and with context.

Respect & Sensitivity

  • We celebrate diverse voices and experiences. Please avoid hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks.
  • Do not name alleged abusers, offenders, or other identifiable individuals. Focus on your journey, not on blame.
  • If your story contains potentially triggering material (e.g., violence, abuse, grief), we may include a gentle content note for readers.

What Happens Next

  • Every story is reviewed by our editorial team.

  • Approved stories may be lightly edited for clarity, grammar, or length — always with respect for your original message.

  • You’ll receive an email notification if your story is selected for publication.

Final Thought

Your voice matters. Your story could be the light someone else needs to keep going.
Thank you for sharing your truth and helping us create a global community of stories that heal, teach, and inspire.
